National Series / National Cup

The second AusCycling BMX National Round of 2022, will also be held at the Sam Willoughby International BMX Facility in Adelaide, SA.

This event is proudly supported by the City of Marion, South Australian Government, the City of Onkaparinga, Santos Festival of Cycling, Office of Recreation, Sport and Racing, Department of Environment and Water.


EVENT UPDATE: 8:00 AM 

In order to maximise the opportunity to race and to preserve the track, the practice schedule has been reduced for all age groups with practice now beginning at 9:05 AM local time. Please refer to the full schedule below;

Official Practice Schedule 

  • 9:05 AM - 9:15 AM - 8-10 years
  • 9:15 AM - 9:25 AM - 11-13 years
  • 9:25 AM - 9:35 AM - 14+ years, including Junior Superclass
  • 9:35 AM - 9:45 AM - Cruisers – all ages
  • 9:45 AM - 9:55 AM - Sprockets
  • 9:55 AM - 10:15 AM - Superclass
  • 10:15 AM - 10:20 AM - Mini Wheelers

Racing will still commence at 10:30 AM 


COVID-19 Requirements

The following requirements are set by SA Health and all persons attending the 2022 AusCycling BMX National Rounds 1 & 2 must adhere to the below requirements, otherwise they will be required to leave the venue.

  • All persons must check-in using the QR code at the venue entrance upon arrival.
  • The wearing of face masks is required at the event, unless eating/drinking, or if a valid medical exemption can be shown.
  • Riders can remove their mask while competing (this includes on the track, in staging, in the designated warm up/cool down area). When riders leave those defined areas and are within the crowd, they will need to wear a mask.
  • Officials can remove their mask while on the track, so long as they can socially distance. If this is not possible then a mask must be worn. If officials are within the crowd, they will need to wear a mask.
  • Social distancing of 1.5m must be followed at all times within the venue.
  • All attendees must comply with any instructions provided by COVID Marshalls, Staff or Officials.

Spectator/Club Tent Sites

There is a Club/Spectator tent area located just outside the track for clubs and spectators to set up tents. These can be set up from 6-9pm on Friday, 21 January, or from 11:30am on Saturday, 22 January. Sites will be marked out 1.5m apart (as required by SA Health), so please ensure you set up your tent in a marked space.

Please note that these are not reserved sites.

Mighty 11s Test Team - Qualification for Event 1

Riders wishing to be selected for the Mighty 11s Test Team will need to enter into the Mighty 11s Test Team Qualifiers category by completing the online form

All riders entered will race their respective 20" category, with times from all races (motos, qualifiers and finals) used to determine the four (4) male and four (4) female riders selected to represent Australia in the Mighty 11s Test Team. A reserve male and female rider will also be selected.

Please Note: the rider must have already completed the online entry form for the 2022 AusCycling BMX National Round 2 in their respective 20" category, in order to be included.

UPDATE: For Qualification for Event 1 2022 only, riders who are turning 12 from 15-30 June 2022 will also be eligible to enter into and qualify for the Mighty 11 Test Team.
