2023 AusCycling Mountain Bike National Championships in Thredbo, NSW will be held across 10 days throughout February, including the disciplines of XCO, XCC, ADAP, DHI, E-MTB, PUM & Trials.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION


PUMP TRACK

Important information about the Pump Track final of the 2023 AusCycling Mountain Bike National Championships:

Elite and Pro Women: To be conducted in a knockout format (1 v 16, 2 v 15 and so on).

Junior and Masters: To be conducted in a shootout format.

Startlist: Pump Track Final.

In summary, the following are the qualifiers by category:

  • Elite Men: Top 16
  • Elite Women: Top 8
  • Junior 19 and Under 17: Top 16*
  • Under 15, 13 and 11: Top 8*
  • Masters: Top 12 (conducted as combined Cannonball categories and separated for National Championship presentations)*

*if a category does not have this number of starters, all riders are qualified for finals.

National Championships Medals and Jersey: Medals and Jerseys will be awarded to all Masters age categories by 5 year groups based on times in the finals. Medals and Jerseys will NOT be awarded to Amateur, Novice, and E-Bike categories.

All riders must participate in the finals to qualify for prizes.

Times: Finals will take place from 5:45 - 7:45pm. Presentations will follow at 8:00 - 8:30pm.

Pump Track (PUM)

  • All Categories $50

Downhill (DHI) 

  • Adults $229
  • Juniors $209
  • 2 day lift access included: Friday 17 & Saturday 18 February
  • Additional practice day lift access can be purchased here

XCO, XCC, XCR, E-MTB, & DHI -

Riders must hold a valid AusCycling All-Discipline Racing Membership or Off-Road Racing Membership to compete in the National Championships. Temporary / Day memberships will not be allowed. For more information on memberships, please click here 

Pump Track & Trials - 

Those competing in the Elite Men & Women categories must hold AusCycling All-Discipline Racing Membership, Off-Road Racing Membership. Riders in the remaining categories can hold either a valid AusCycling All-Discipline Racing Membership, Off-Road Racing Membership or Temporary Membership (One Day or 7 Day Event Membership).

XCR 

Open Category

  • One rider aged under 19 at the eligibility date;
  • One rider eligible to compete in a Masters 3 or higher category that is, aged 40 or over at the eligibility date;
  • One rider eligible to compete in a women’s category at the 2022 Aus Cycling Cross-Country National Championships;
  • One rider on which there are no restrictions (‘Open’).

Under 17

  • Any mix of riders from Under 17 Men & Women (must be entered into Under 17, no riding up)
  • Three riders in a team
  • At least one Female

Combined Under 13 & Under 15

  • Any mix of riders from U13 Boys, Under 13 Girls, Under 15 Boys & Under 15 Girls
  • At least one Female. Can be from either age category
  • Three riders in a team

  • National Champion jerseys will be awarded to all National Championship categories (except for Sport, Novice & Expert Categories across all disciplines)
  • Medals will be awarded to the top 3 place getters in the above National Championship categories
