In response to the developing situation nationally concerning COVID-19 outbreaks and related restrictions, AusCycling is providing an update on several events.

Last Update 23 August 2021

After consultation with our hosts, government agencies, riders and team managers, we have made the decision to make changes to:

Road

  • AusCycling Masters Road National Championships

Cyclo-Cross

  • AusCycling Cyclo-Cross National Championships

Mountain Bike

  • AusCycling Mountain Bike Gravity Enduro National Championships
  • AusCycling Mountain Bike 24 Hour National Championships

We understand there will always be disappointment, however, we are committed to hosting as many events as possible this year. While changes will not suit everyone, we remind riders that they can scratch at any time through EntryBoss and receive an immediate refund.

Road

AusCycling Masters Road National Championships

The 2021 AusCycling Masters Road National Championships will continue to be hosted on the Sunshine Coast and will be hosted from November 29-December 2.

Cyclo-Cross

AusCycling Cyclo-Cross National Championships

The 2021 Cyclo-Cross National Championships previously confirmed to be hosted in Creswick, Victoria will now be held on November 27 & 28.

The AusCycling CX National Championships is a two-day event featuring 30 category championship races and will also include the inaugural Cross 4 a Cause Cyclo-Cross Event.

More information is to be released closer to the date.

Mountain Bike

AusCycling Mountain Bike Gravity Enduro National Championships

The 2021 Mountain Bike Gravity Enduro National Championships, at Red Hill, Victoria, originally scheduled for 23 & 24 October have been postponed.

We are continuing to work with the host, Red Hill Riders and stakeholders to determine an alternative date for the event.

AusCycling Mountain Bike 24 Hour National Championships

Reluctantly New England Mountain Bike (NEMTB) and WEMBO have cancelled the 2021 WEMBO Continental 24 Hour Solo Championships and the AusCycling 24 Hour Solo National Championships as well as the UNE 12 Hours In The Piney.

This is due to the inability to prepare trails while in continued lockdown and the high probability that continued COVID-19 restrictions will limit the ability to hold an event to the high quality we expect over the 6 & 7 November weekend.

At this stage, they are aiming to hold the 2022 UNE 12 Hours in The Piney at the SportUNE Mtb Trails on Saturday 2 April 2022 with more details to come.

We thank all our riders, partners, hosts and spectators for their understanding and cooperation. These are challenging times and we appreciate the ongoing support of the cycling family as we navigate this together.
