Reigning National Champions, Nathan Mummery and Janine Jungfels won their respective Elite categories at the 2022 AusCycling Trials National Championships held in Canberra recently.
It was a late rush for the 2015 World Champion to compete after she found a crack in her frame the night prior to competition.
Thanks to the welder of Neil Bates Motorsport Jungfels was able to line up and again top the podium.
Sections were set to a difficult standard with a mix of highly technical lines and power moves.
Riders faced obstacles including tractor tyres, concrete pipes, rocks and large logs.
It was a fierce contest between the top two Elite Men, Nathan Mummery and Matt Harding.
With Mummery doing enough take the edge in sections 2, 4 and 5.
He now intends to travel to compete at the UCI Trials World Championships in Abu Dhabi in November.
Riders from ACT, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland competed in the championship.
