Round 1 of the 2021 AusCycling NSW BMX State Series kicked off over the weekend at the Maitland Tenambit BMX Club with just under 650 entries across the board representing three different states and territories.
A couple of technical issues to start the first event of the year didn't dampen the high level of racing the riders displayed throughout the day.
It was great to see lots of classes with quarter and semi-finals along with the strong contingent of Superclass riders attending, proving that NSW has not lost its BMX Family.
Some stand out results was Tyreak Cala winning the new Junior Superclass along with Tahlia Marsh scrapping in for an exciting Superclass Women's win. Jack Davis was too strong not dropping a lap of the Superclass men all day, and we saw a fresh set of 8-year old faces racing for their first final.
The weather played its part to help support the start of what's looking to be a strong 2021 AusCycling BMX State Series in NSW.

Round 2 will have riders heading down to the ACT for more exciting racing.
