The State/Territory Championships are the premier and last BMX State/Territory level event held in each State/Territory each year.

Due to the current climate and the nature of production, Special Event Merchandise are unable to provide refunds if there is a cancellation to a state or territory championship. For more information, refer to the T&C's on their website.

Frequently Asked Questions 

The BMX State & Territory Championships will be classes as 'Open Championships', meaning that a rider from any State/Territory with an AusCycling Off-Road or All-Discipline membership may enter into any of the BMX State & Territory Championships. International riders may also participate if they have a current UCI License from a recognised National Federation.

A rider is only eligible for the title of State/Territory Champion in one state/territory based on their primary club (based on the State/Territory to which the Primary Club is allocated).

Where a rider from outside of the State/Territory participates and:

  • is awarded a Presentation Plate (1st-8th) - they will win the Presentation Plate on the day, however they are not eligible to register with that plate number at any events (i.e. 1V, 2V, 3V, etc).
  • finishes first - they will be ineligible to receive the Jersey, with the first placed individual from that State/Territory awarded with the Jersey (applicable to Superclass, Junior Superclass and Masters only).
  • is awarded any other prizing (as specified in the relevant State/Territory Technical Guide and not mentioned in the points above) - they will be awarded that prizing.

In the event that categories are required to be merged, the BMX National Cup points and the Presentation Plate will be awarded based on the original category that riders entered into. All other awards and prizing (in accordance with the relevant State/Territory Technical Guide), will be awarded based on the category run on the day (i.e. the category will not be split back out for prizing).

No late entries will be permitted for any of the BMX State & Territory Championships. Entries must comply with the closing date for each championship as outlined in the relevant State/Territory Technical Guide.

BMX State & Territory Championship events are open to any rider however, only riders from a primary club situated or allocated within the State/Territory holding the event will receive National Cup series points for that State/Territory.
