Caroline Buchanan and Ted Oakley have become the inaugural AusCycling Slopestyle National Champions.

The duo claimed the Pro Men and Women titles at Greenvalleys Mountain Bike Park.

The win adds to Buchanan’s impressive cycling resume which has seen her claim national titles across numerous disciplines.

Amelia Freeman and Katie Lawrence would take out the minor medals.

In the Pro Men it was Western Australian, Oakley who would showcase his incredibly talent to the judges.

The 20-year-old landed all his tricks in the final run.

“I mainly planned my run to have all four rotations, backflip, front flip and 360’s in both directions,” he said.

Bodie Terill and Jamison Underwood finished with the silver and bronze.

Oakley will pack the green and gold jersey to Europe to compete in Switzerland and the Birell Bikfest in Slovakia later in the year.

“Depending on my results after those events, I’ll be looking to spend a few months in the UK at some world class training facilities to then enter a few more comps,” he said.
