Your accreditation will continue to be recognised as it currently is until you are re-accredited or undertake further training.

After re-accreditation your accreditation will change as follows:

The Commissaire and Official courses are valuable for anyone to undertake whatever your experience.  As such we do not offer RCC for any Commissaire course.

AusCycling offers comprehensive insurance for all accredited Commissaires and Official including:

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance ($5,000,000)
  • Public and Products Liability ($20,000,000)
  • Personal Accident Insurance

Your accreditation will last until the re-accreditation date for the latest discipline you were accredited in.

All Commissaires and Officials must maintain, at minimum, at Non-Ride members to retain their accreditation.

If required and permitted by state or territory legislation, Commissaires or Officials must hold an appropriate and up to date Working With Children Check if you are working with children or vulnerable people. 

It is the responsibility of the Commissaires or Official to keep this up to date at all times and provide the required records to the appropriate government authority.

Note: If a Commissaire/Official in WA is not working with children OR are exempted you are not permitted to gain a Working With Children Check.  In the case of an exemption you must complete a Member Protection Declaration

Individuals may not be required to obtain a Working With Children Check if you are registered with a State or Territory Institute of Teaching, Department of Protective Services or similar.  In this case proof of registration must be provided to AusCycling.

Please note that all WWCC must be able to be checked through a DHS screening tool.  

*The Catholic Archidocese of Adelaide WCC are not eligible as part of AusCycling accreditation. 

All commissaires receive a 4 year accreditation period.

  • A current member of AusCycling membership - at minimum this must be  a Non-Riding Membership.
  • A current Commissaire or Official accreditation relevant to the discipline you will work in. 
  • Your Working with Children Check (or equivalent) needs to be current and valid, relevant to your State or Territory - unless exempt.*
