Waratah Masters CC have controlled Round 12 of the AusCycling Club Cycling Esports Series on their way to claiming the 2022 national championship.
The Sydney-based club finished with riders on the podium across several grades in the final round to complete the season almost 500 points clear of Bathurst CC, with Randwick CC holding on for third place, just 230 points clear of Vikings CC.
Less than 600 points separated fifth from eighth place, further reflecting the competitiveness of the series in its second year.

Nathan Campbell (Lifecycle CC) and James Salafia (Waratah Masters CC) rode to comfortable victories in Men’s A and D respectively, but other men’s competitions yielded much closer results.
Jonno Cridland (Southern Cross CC) held off Nick Spratt (Waratah Masters CC) by just three points in Men’s B, while three points also separated Brett Mac (Waratah Masters CC) and Chris Neal (Randwick CC) in Men’s C.
Marjan McGarry’s (Randwick CC) returned to the top step of the podium in Women’s A, edging out Jess Bemrose (Gold Coast CC) by seven points.
