Weather
This event will proceed as planned unless weather conditions are considered dangerous to event participants by the chief commissaire. Please refer to AusCycling Extreme Weather Policy for more information.
A final decision to proceed with the event will be made:
Saturday:
- 7:30am - ITT Championships
- 1:00pm - Saturday Road Races
Sunday:
- 7:00am - Wave 1 road races
- 10:30am - Wave 2 road races
Should the event be delayed or cancelled due to the conditions: Riders will be informed via text message, and updates will be posted on this page.
Arriving at Gunning
Please access the Gunning event site via the Gunning entrance on the Hume Highway. Please do not travel via Breadalbane as riders will be on-course from 8:30am.
Event Check-in and Rider Pack Collection
All event patrons will be required to check in (QR Code) via the Service NSW app and present your proof of vaccination to AusCycling staff at the sign-on desk. Once your proof of vaccination is shown, riders will receive their rider packs (with bib numbers & transponder) while other patrons will receive an event wristband (Please keep your wristband on to streamline the process for Day 2). On-site vendors (food, coffee etc) will only be available to riders wearing a bib number or patrons with a wristband on. Anyone aged 16 years and over entering the event venue must be fully vaccinated.
Conditions of attendance
- All attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they are aged 16 years and over
- All attendees and their dependants must sign in via the Service NSW QR codes that will be placed at the entrance to the venue
- DO NOT attend if you are COVID-19 positive or if have symptoms of COVID-19
- DO NOT cough, spit or sneeze near or onto others
- Spectators are encouraged to clap, rather than shout during events
- Please keep at least 1.5 metres away from others at all times except when participating in events
- Please use the provided hand sanitiser at sign on desk prior to collecting your race pack
- We strongly encourage the use of masks at this event when not participating in events
- Pease DO NOT congregate in areas of high foot traffic such as sign on or start finish
Please follow the NSW Public Health Orders and NSW Health guidelines at all times
Event Classification and Prizes
- This event will be held as an "Open Championships"
- Medals awarded to the first 3 place getters of each event
- First rider across the line in each category who's primary AusCycling club is in New South Wales will be declared the State Champion
- Non-New South Wales members may ride in events, but are not eligible for the NSW State Champion title

Facilities & Parking
- Portable toilets will be onsite on the days of event
- All vehicles must park in the designated car park area
- Due to the number of patrons for this event: We kindly request you park in an orderly fashion in the carpark and not take more space than required
- Please BYO enough water as there is no running water at the event site
- Canteen and coffee van will be available on site on both days. Please support the club and local business by making food purchases at the event!
Technical Information
- All events for the weekend will be run according to AusCycling Technical Regulations
- We strongly encourage you to familiarise yourself with these regulations
- All Individual Time Trial participants MUST have their bike scrutineered and checked off by an official pre-race, and the under 19 categories will be required to roll out pre-event
- Bike checks will take place at the start line 500 meters down from the carpark
- All riders must present to the start line 15 minutes prior to their start time
- Please note that joining a racing group from a different category that is passing through is strictly not permitted. This action attracts immediately disqualification and any additional penalties as sanctioned by the PCP (Chief Commissaire)
- Spares vehicles are only available to events which are over 94km in length
- Feeding will be allowed for events over 94km in length. This will occur near the Start / Finish Line as they complete their 2nd lap.
Age Categories & Eligibility
- You will race in your 2021 age category
- You must hold an AusCycling ‘Race All Discipline’ licence
- This event is not open to temporary or recreational memberships
