Central West Track Open Ft. 2023 Junior Metro & Country Track Championships and U17 Maddison Championships - New South Wales

Saturday 3rd December - Bathurst Velodrome (Enter via College Road NOT Vale Road)

Sunday 4th December - Orange Velodrome (Sale Street)

Saturday 3rd December - Bathurst Velodrome

• Juniors - Country and Metro ITT and Scratch Race Championships, Elimination, Mystery Lapper, U17 Maddison Championships and the Renshaw Peddle Project Junior Wheelrace.
• Seniors - Motopaced Scratch Race, Elimination, Mystery Lapper, Renshaw Peddle Project Wheelrace (heats, final and consolation final)

Sunday 4th December - Orange Velodrome

• Juniors - Country and Metro Derby Championships, Win and Out, Keirin and the Hotel Canobolas Aussie Crawl
• Seniors - Heart Starter Scratch Race, Keirin, Win and Out, Hotel Canobolas Wheelrace (heats, final and consolation final)

Age Categories & Eligibility

• Participation, U9, U11, JB13, JG13, JM15, JW15, JM17, JW17, U19, Elite & Masters
• Age Categories for this event are as per 2023 ages effective from 1st October 2022.
• Financial AusCycling "Race All Discipline" members.
• Riders in the Participation events must hold at minimum a current AusCycling 'LifeStyle' membership.

Additional Information

• To win a Country & Metropolitan Championship Medal rider must be a member of an affiliated NSW Country or Metropolitan club.
• Refer to  Tech Reg - 2.03 
• Championship points will be allocated to NSW riders only
• All Interstate/Territory riders will be recognised in the results for each event, including the NSW Country Metro Championship races.
• All Interstate/Territory riders will be placed into Championship races based on Field Sizes
• All non NSW Country and Metropolitan Championship events with prizes are race podiums and can be won by any rider regardless of home State/Territory
• U17 riders wishing to ride the Maddison Championships should email   [email protected]  with the names of each rider.  Second year U15 riders will be permitted to ride in the Championship at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire but will not be eligible for medals.

Technical

Events will be run according to AusCycling Technical Regulations
All junior categories will be required to roll out bikes pre-event.

Handicapping / Grading

Riders will be graded as per the NSW Handicapping Policy. There is no guarantee you will receive the grade you nominate. To avoid disappointment, please check with your club handicapper to ensure your state handicapping code is correct.

$2,500+ in cash and prizes

Photography

By entering my child into this event, I, as the child’s parent or guardian.

• Acknowledge that photographs and videos of my child may be taken during the event; and
• Give permission for AusCycling and the event promoter to record, keep, publish and display such photographs and videos of my child.

Please note that photographs and videos of competitors may be taken during the event. Please advise AusCycling by e-mail at [email protected] if you do not give permission for the promoter and / or AusCycling to keep, publish and display photographs and videos of your child from this event.

Saturday 3 December – Bathurst Velodrome

• Entry via College Road, Orton Park NOT Vale Road (see map below). Search for “Bathurst Mountain Bike Park” in your navigation Map
• Parking – Please follow directions to venue parking. Venue parking is on-site temporary parking.
• Cathead Warning – Bathurst Bike Park has an invasive weed that produces a spined seed that will puncture bike tyres. Patrons are advised to carry wheels from parking to the quarantine area. Please check footwear and dispose of catheads in the bins provided.
• Shade and Seating – Bathurst Velodrome has no shade and very limited seating. Patrons are advised to bring shade tents and seats. Tent City in front and to the sides of the clubhouse.
• Canteen – Bathurst CC will be running a canteen on the day.

Sunday 4 December – Orange Velodrome

• A Coffee Van will be on site, with light refreshments and cool drinks.
• A supermarket and takeaway food is available 700m from the velodrome.
• Orange Velodrome has limited seating and shade. Patrons are advised to bring shade tents and seats. Tent City is on the grass to the north and south of the finish line.
• Entry via Sale Street. There is ample street parking and an undercover carpark across the road from the velodrome.
• Please join Orange and Bathurst Cycle Club members and volunteers for dinner on the infield after the event.

Weather conditions

• The event will proceed as planned unless the conditions are deemed to be unsafe by the Race Organiser and Chief Commissaire on the morning of the event
