2023 BMX State/Territory Series | Expression of Interest

AusCycling is currently seeking EOIs from clubs who wish to host a round of the 2023 AusCycling BMX Racing State/Territory Series.

The EOI process will close at 12pm (AEST), 26 September 2022 and submissions after this date may not be considered.

EOI PROCESS

Any Club wishing to host a round within their relevant State/Territory is required to:

PLEASE NOTE:

BMX Venue Information Document

The BMX Venue Information Document is  only required to be submitted if:

  • if not submitted by club in 2021, of
  • if it was submitted in 2021, but there has been alterations to the venue.

The BMX Venue Information document will provide AusCycling with valuable information on each clubs venue and where the club may need additional support to deliver events.

Clubs are asked to complete as much of the BMX Venue Information document as they can, understanding that not all clubs will have all this information available. While it is desirable for us to have photos of various areas outlined within the document, we understand that clubs may not have all those and ask that you simply provide what you can.

Expression of Interest Form

Clubs will be required to upload the following items into the EOI Form:

  • Their completed Venue Information document (if required)
  • A site plan from a previous event (including where things normally are set up at the venue)
  • The signed event agreement (please complete upload word version)
  • A proposed event budget

State/Territory Series Regulations

The draft 2023 AusCycling BMX Racing State/Territory Series Regulations provide information on the event categories and entry fees, that the club should use when putting together its event budget.

Please note that the series regulations document is currently a draft and is subject to change, prior to final release later this year. This document is provided as a guide to assist clubs with the budgeting process only.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The EOI process is where clubs can submit an application to host a State/Territory Series round.

This process allows AusCycling to gather all necessary information in order to determine who will host events in 2023.

This process minimises the time requirements for clubs by not requiring them to provide a separate EOI and application.

The EOI process will close at 12pm (AEST), 26 September 2022.

AusCycling will review the submissions received and look to confirm the hosts and dates for each of the events listed above by the end of October.

All host applications are reviewed based on their application and review the scoring matrix, event hosting experience (local support, volunteer support) and the suitability of the track.

AusCycling also considers the spread across the relevant State/Territory.

AusCycling may seek input from members of the State Advisory Committee or the Technical Delegate on selection of hosts.

AusCycling will provide feedback to those Clubs who are not selected, to advise where their submission may have fallen short or areas they can improve upon in order to be considered for future hosting opportunities.

Should you have any further questions on the 2023 BMX Racing EOI process, please email [email protected].
